Well... Summers Officially Over for Me

Sad day. But it has been pretty amazing, so I guess that's ok!
I'm exhausted from work. I'm basically multi tasking my entire shift. 8.5 hours of doing at least 3 things at once is starting to wear me out!
School officially starts tomorrow. It's funny since I work at school it doesn't feel like anything new. I'm over it already.
But anyway... the past week has been a blast. I've skateboarded some more. Had good ol' Taco Tuesday. Did a little shopping. Went to Sea World again. Basically hung out every single night. It's been great!
I'm scared I won't cut back a little on my social life once school starts. And there definitely isn't really room to be as social and work as much and school.
Eh, oh well. Gotta live life to the fullest right?

Bought a Skateboard

I'm addicted! I'm having way too much fun skating :) I bought a cruiser yesterday but haven't had too much of a chance to ride it yet. Amy and I skated around a little and I put my first scratch on it. Apparently it was a good one. I don't know about that but it was probably a really entertaining fall to watch that caused the scratch.
Going skateboarding again today after work! I'm excited!!

Bonfires and Skateboarding

The college group at my church had a bonfire at Ocean Beach last night. Not that many people showed up (seems to be a common theme) but it was still fun. Amy and Lindsay belted Celine Dion with the windows rolled down on the way there. I would have belted except I don't really know any Celine Dion songs... I chimed in during the Titanic song though :)
On the way from the car to the beach Amy and her friend Lindsay taught me how to skateboard. I only fell on my butt once and managed to wedge Amy's skateboard under a car.
We went to go get pizza during the bonfire and met an interesting guy named Timothy. He played an unplugged electric guitar for us and his hair was super long and all over the place. We talked to him for a bit. One girl offered him a cheese stick. He was quite entertaining. Later at the bonfire we met another interesting guy who asked if he could stand by our bonfire for a bit. That was fine with us and we offered him a smore. He told us a random story about how he used to be a chef until he got really badly burned and now fire scared him. Ironic since he was standing at our bonfire ;).
After the beach Amy and Lindsay and I went back to Point Loma where we skateboarded around some more. I was having fun and managed not to fall off again. Well I fell off plenty of times, just didn't fall down. I seriously think I might want to buy a skateboard now!

Moving Out, Moving In

Corrie moves out tomorrow and into the dorms at Pt. Loma. Then my new room mate Kara moves in Friday. I'm excited to meet Kara and get to know her a bit. But I have to admit I'm a little sad I'm not really living with any of my friends. Oh well, it's just for a semester.
It kind of stinks to be living so far away from school and a few of my close friends. But after this summer I now have some good friends who live at PLNU as well, so I guess it works out.
Anyway, nothing too exciting here. Working tons. We've been training the last few nights. I work this week Monday through Saturday. I was all excited when I saw the schedule for next week and I had Monday off. Of course then I looked at the rest of the week and I work Tuesday through Sunday. So much for a day off! The Monday after that school starts. I'm not really ready for summer to be over. But I am excited for new beginnings. Meeting some new people, taking new classes, helping to lead the 5th and 6th grade group at church (Club 56, kind of an intro right before they are in youth group). All that fun stuff.

Pictures and Other Things

Well school starts again in about 2.5 weeks. Man this summer has gone by fast! It has been pretty amazing though. I am so glad I decided to stay in San Diego for the summer. I've been a crazy socialite it feels like. I have been constantly doing things, not taking any relaxing time really. Probably only at my own apartment for not much more than a few nights or hours a week. And yet I'm not too tired because I am having way too much fun!

We start training new people on Monday, so far 93 cashiers have been hired. This is going to be exciting :/ So my summer is pretty much over. I work 6 days next week and will probably do the same for the next 3 weeks after that.

Emma and Melissa Gresham are driving down to visit tomorrow. I'm excited to hang out with them!

Here's some random cruise pictures!

Sea Legs

Our cruise was amazingly fun. I still feel like I am slowly swaying back and forth. I got a little sea sick from it the first night, but Dramamine cured that right up.
We participated in tons of little activities, saw many shows, ate alot of yummy food, gambled a little in the nickel slots (ok if you're over 18) and layed around outside and relaxed.
We ported in Ensenada for a day and took a tour trip up to Rosarito. The beaches were gorgeous and it was fun walking around. Although it definitely makes me uncomfortable with all of the vendors following you around trying to get you to buy things, or come into their restaurant to drink. Rosarito and Ensenada weren't nearly as bad as my Tijuana experience though. Still it was neat to be in Mexico.
If I manage to get internet at home I'll post some pictures up later :)

Cruise Time!

So we're leaving on our cruise to Ensenada today. Should be fun! Be back Monday :)

Updates

I'm going to keep living where I'm at right now for this next semester. The girl we are subletting from wants a room mate for next year to make rent cheaper so it worked out nicely :)
I'm going home tomorrow and leaving on our family cruise on Friday.
My really gross sunburn is now in peeling mode. My skin literally feels like snake skin, tough and leathery and peeling. Probably because I pretty much cooked it and got a 2nd degree burn.
I've been working alot, which has been nice.
Emma is hopefully going to come down to visit next weekend with Melissa Gresham. By the way for those of you who know Melissa, Brittain finally proposed to her about a month or so ago? So after dating for something like 10 years they are finally getting married! :)
And now I have to go because my break is up at work.
