Keeping Up

Ah! I'm having a hard time keeping up with life at the moment. Today is March 27th. Which means I officially have one more month in London. Sad day! I can't believe I've been here that long already!

Last weekend I went to Dublin with Katie (she's visiting for about 2 weeks). We had a very good time. Lots of touristy things, and a bit of relaxing and enjoying the city. Thursday morning we are traveling to Madrid and then taking a night train Saturday night to Barcelona. Coming back from there on Tuesday very early morning. Basically I'm taking advantage of the fact that I can have 2 unexcused absences in my classes.

Tonight I'm going to see Spamalot. Tomorrow it's the History Boys. No time to relax or breathe!

Spring... where did you go??

Last weekend London finally had it's season change from Winter to Spring. It was so cool. One day it was rainy and gloomy and cold as usual, and the next it was sunny and the flowers had all bloomed and it was actually somewhat warm! I've never actually seen a season change like that. It was pretty awesome.

And for some reason now it is cold and windy again. Yesterday it even snowed. What the heck??

Spring Break Adventures

I have been oober busy lately. Sorry for the lack of updates guys!

I have so much to say but I'm leaving for Dublin in about 35 minutes! Yah for Ireland and St. Patty's!

So what can I say in a nutshell?

Scotland was amazing and beautiful. We took a 3 day tour up from the Lowlands starting in Edinburgh and then up to the Highlands and the Isle of Skye. Our tour guides were absolutely hilarious and we played along to all of the games and songs which made the trip that much better. I saw Loch Ness and many other loch's (lakes). Did a dance for Nessy to come out. Learned how to fold a kilt. Did a Saucy Mary off the cliffs. Went through the kissing bridge. Stuck our faces in ice cold water for 10 seconds so we'd stay looking as young as we do right now for 10 years. And a few more fun things.

Italy was even more amazing.
First was Rome where we basically did all of the tourist things. Colosseum, Roman Forum, Pantheon, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Pope. Then onto Florence which was probably my favorite city of all time. It was the cutest and also most stunning city ever. I basically want to live there now. We went to one church that had the bones of Machiavelli, Michelangelo, Bruni, and a few more. That was one of the coolest things ever. Then Venice... which well, is Venice. The streets are made of water and the ones that aren't curve off in random directions and don't make any sense. Carnival masks are everywhere and scattered in between are people trying to sell you fake coach and louis vuitton purses. The last day there we went to a beach that took about an hour to get to by boat and just basked in the sun. We took trains to and from each city and the countryside was absolutely gorgeous. Basically I can't express how much I loved this city and trip. I want to live in Italy now, I could really see myself there. Minus the language issue. But I wouldn't mind learning Italian, it's a fun language and alot of it is very similar to Spanish, which I know alot of already.

So that was my Spring Break in extreme brief. :) I haven't had a chance to upload pictures yet... but soon I hope!
