Busy Week for San Diego

It's been a busy week for the city of San Diego.

Comic-con, a HUGE comic convention, has been going on for the past 3 days here. It brings between 120,000 and 150,000 people to San Diego.
American Idol is having auditions here that started this morning.
And the lesser of the 3 things would be freshman orientations going on at my school. There's something like 14,000 new freshman and they (including parents) have to all come for orientations.

Good deal for the hotel business I guess!

It Pays To Be Nice... Literally

At work tonight I got a $15.89 tip. The guy who gave it to me said it was for being so nice. And an incentive to stay that way. How cool is that?? It basically made my night!

Peace Corps

It might sound a little crazy... but I have really been thinking about the Peace Corps alot lately. I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. I do know I have a huge urge to see the world and make a difference, even if it is a small difference. I still have 2 more years before I'm done with college and I won't do anything like this until I finish anyways.
27 months in a foreign country would be intense, but amazingly exciting at the same time! 2 more years to figure it out. To pray and see if this is something that God wants me to do. I'm not sure yet, but I do know that the idea of being a volunteer for the Peace Corps is really exciting to me!
