$300 or $4.25?

In the bookstore there are cameras everywhere and undercover security walking around constantly all over the store. Today a guy tried to steal a pencil. Yes, it was rather expensive for a mechanical pencil, but nonetheless not a smart move. the last I saw of him he was being taken upstairs in handcuffs. The minimum fine for stealing in the bookstore is $300. I bet that guy was thinking what a stupid move he had made. Moral of the story is an obvious and simple one, don't steal!
