Tuesday Night Tacos

A new tradition? Possibly. I went with some friends last night to this place called Fred's in Old Town where they have $2 tacos and margaritas (although Laura can only get the tacos). But it was very fun and I think it might need to be a new tradition!

well first it is called HAPPY HOUR I am sure... It has been around as long as their have been teachers in the world...

Second, the Reverend must come out, "although Laura can ONLY get the tacos" should be a blessing. You don't want to drink not even socially. It is a killer, both literally and philosophically. Drinking gets you pregnant, loose, not thinking, it impairs your thinking... even one drink. The bible is quite clear that we are to be clear in our thinking, I don't think that can happen if we are drinking. Now I know there are many so-called Christians who choose to drink seeing no harm in the issue. The only thing that should filling our minds is Jesus Christ. It is difficult to thinking clearly and with the right mind when it is slightly impaired by alcohol, whether you drink once or often. Some might take this as an "ultra conservative" position on alcohol. I think it is common sense. If you are not "suppose" to appropriate any machinery after a drink, what makes us think we can be followers of Christ while inebriated, even by one drink... I don't know... So don't drink... Don't let other so-called Christians tell you it is "ok" as they try to make themselves feel better by bringing others into their bad habits. As you must make up your own mind, I will weigh in here and say it is not worth it, especially a young single girl in today’s college world, it only takes a drink for one of those "esteemed" college "friends" to slip you something. You can't blame them, "you" took the drink. Don't drink... Don't go down that road of meritocracy of Christianity, don't do it...

So I hope this in any way doesn’t deter you from writing about your college exploits. Or I hope you don’t start the “real” blog on another link (as if you were trying to hide it from your parents or something)… because you know if you “google” your name you are the seventh link that shows up…

oops.. Two spelling errors:

"appropriate" should be "operate"

"meritocracy" should be "mediocrity"
